The Article Processing Charge (APC) enables GSSHJ to give open access to all of its published publications. The price is kept as low as possible to ensure that all entries are considered. It covers GSSHJ's publishing services and permits it to continue operating. The following services are included in the fee:

• Editor and author online tools
• Article processing, safe hosting, and distribution
• Indexing and abstracting
• Customer service

The fee is due when a paper is accepted for publication. Before the paper is made publicly available, the authors, their institution, or funder must pay a charge of $250 (this does not include VAT or local taxes). Authors whose papers get accepted for publishing will be notified of the approval and the outstanding payment. Please note that papers will not be published until the APC is paid.

Waivers & Discounts
GSSHJ offers APC waivers/discounts for authors with demonstrated financial need and/or authors from eligible low-income and lower-middle-income countries. Decisions are made before peer review is completed and are independent of editorial decisions. Requests: gsshjed@GSSHJ.globaledupublisher.com with subject “APC Waiver Request”.
